#SILVER EFEX PRO PRESETS GELATIN SILVER HOW TO#
In this new series, Mastering the Nik Collection, I'll be giving detailed instructions on how to use all of the modules in the software suite. The first new preset is called InteriorsHyper-Realistic. Analog Efex Pro is a virtual Swiss Army knife of film and motion effects, which can be used to build presets, called Cameras in the app. Since then, I’ve developed a few more presets that can come in handy for natural HDR settings.

I hope you're all well and I will try to get over here and visit you more often. Nik Software’s Silver Efex Pro 2 is a major upgrade to an already great product and introduces many new features that offer you even more control over an image’s detail, contrast, and tonality, making it easy to transform color files into stunning black-and-white photographs. It’s been nearly a year since I published The Photographer’s Guide to HDR Efex Pro with my good friend, Tony Sweet. You can find the link on my profile page here.

You're more than welcome to visit me there. I have recently started using Silver efex Pro and Color Efex Pro for the ease of PP and the tons of presets that come along with this. I've learned a lot and I'm still learning as I go. Most importantly, I use lightroom because of the presets that come along with the package as well as free presets available for download in adobe exchange. It's a much different world than flickr - very fast paced - but it's been good for my work. It's a fabulous community of talented photographers and more than that, just a really wonderful intelligent group of people. I've been spending most of my time on Google+ these days.

This waterfall image was my first attempt at editing with Silver Efex Pro. On the left side of the screen you’ll find all the Silver Efex Pro presets. There are several more in that album that will give you a feel for what the program can do. It's something I've been experimenting a lot with lately, using a plug in for Photoshop CS5 called "Pixel Bender." It's a free download, so you may want to take a look at that album if you liked the Burning Bush image. For those of you asking, and anyone else interested, I created a set called Digital Paintography. You guys are making it awfully difficult to leave flickr!:) Thank you for the kind notes and comments on my last image.
